Troubleshooting
Problem: Sound, but no picture
 
When its a TV set problem: When its a cable problem:
If the screen is dark, or the screen lights but no snow appears. If snow appears on the screen and a roaring sound is heard.
 
Problem: Streaks and Noise Flashes
 
When its a TV set problem: When its a cable problem:
If you hear a popping or cracking noise and the volume control is in its minimum position. Usually not a cable problem, but call if you have any questions.
 
Problem: Rolling Picture
 
When its a TV set problem: When its a cable problem:
If it rolls on all channels and you can't hold it with the "vertical hold" control. If it rolls on one channel only.
 
Problem: Pulling/Running
 
When its a TV set problem: When its a cable problem:
If it runs on all channels and you can't stop it with the "horizontal hold" control. If it runs on one channel only.
 
Problem: Ghosts
 
When its a TV set problem: When its a cable problem:
If they are on all channels or they move when you adjust the "fine tuning". Call if you are in doubt.
 
Problem: No Sound

If found on all channels. If found on one channel.

Tips To Get The Best Possible Reception

  1. Check the TV set and converter fine tuning.
  2. Always keep the TV set on the proper channel to match the converter output signal.
  3. Be sure the converter is plugged in.
  4. Wireless remote controlled converters have 2 AAA batteries in the control unit. Check by replacing with new ones.
